We are CharchaGram, a group of people working to ensure accountability and transparency. As a civic-tech organisation, we do this by strengthening citizen engagement with governance, building tools that use technology as a lever to make information more accessible and, in turn, public processes easier to follow and understand.
Our initiatives span electoral literacy, public accountability, and the documentation of collective experiences. Our electoral literacy portal enables voters to explore candidates’ assets, criminal cases, and parliamentary records, while participating through polls and ratings to turn individual opinions into collective public dialogue. Through our collective archive of the 20 July protest in New Delhi, we preserve written and voice accounts from those who were present, allowing people to document their experiences and tell the story in their own words.
Across these initiatives, our aim is to make information accessible, amplify citizen voices, and create meaningful avenues for public participation and accountability.
